Sworca is a personal finance calculator. Your data belongs to you.

1. Who we are

Sworca (“we”, “us”) operates the Sworca application and website at sworca.com. For privacy questions, contact: privacy@sworca.com.

2. What Sworca does with your data

Local-first by default. Your financial ledgers, entries, notes, and settings are stored on your device (browser local storage on web; device storage on mobile). We do not upload this data unless you explicitly sign in and enable sync.

Optional cloud sync. If you sign in with Google, your documents may be stored in Firebase (Google Cloud) under your account, so you can access them on other devices. Sync is optional; guest mode works without an account.

3. Data we may process

• Financial entries you create – amounts, notes, dates, currency settings (stored locally; synced only if you use Google sign-in).
• Account identifiers – if you sign in: Google account ID and email (via Firebase Authentication).
• Technical data – standard server logs (IP, browser type, access time) when you visit sworca.com.
• Guest identifier – a random local ID for guest mode (stored on your device only).

We do not sell your data. We do not use your financial data for advertising.

4. Legal basis (GDPR)

If you are in the EU/EEA (including Germany):

• Contract / service – processing needed to run the app you use.
• Consent – when you choose Google sign-in and cloud sync.
• Legitimate interest – basic security and operation of our website.

5. Third-party services

• Google / Firebase – authentication and optional Firestore sync. See Google Privacy Policy.
• Hosting – our website is hosted on servers in the EU (Germany).

6. Storage and retention

Local data remains on your device until you clear browser/app data or uninstall. Synced data remains in your Firebase account until you delete it or delete your account. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security.

7. Your rights

Under GDPR you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your data, and to object or withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email privacy@sworca.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Germany: your state Landesdatenschutzbehörde).

8. Cookies and local storage

Sworca uses browser local storage and similar technologies to save your ledgers and preferences on your device. No advertising cookies are used. Firebase may set technical cookies when you sign in.

9. Children

Sworca is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
